Sometimes the whole problem is one class. Left alone, it can turn into a reason to leave school.
Where to look first
- Teacher office hours and peer tutoring
- After-school and lunchtime support
- Public library and community programs
- Virtual tutoring
- Accommodations and English-language support, if needed
Set a two-week goal
Choose a specific target, like “finish the next two assignments” or “raise a quiz score,” and check in after two weeks. If it is working, keep going. If not, try a different kind of help.
